Instead of rumors about a possible boy group debuting later this year, it seems that DSP Media will be debuting a new 5 member girl group. The group is set to be promoted in Japan and Korea and will be debuting at the same time through an animation called "Pretty Rhythm, Dear My Feature".
DSP Media announced the news of a new girl group earlier today and unveiled the group's young members through a press conference in Tokyo. Currently still named DSP Girls, the group consists out of Haein (18), Shiyoon (16), Chaekyung (16), Somin (16), and Jae Eun (14).
Despite still in preparations, the group has manageed to gather attention from Nintendo and Whisper, as well as other industry associates at the press conference.
The animation "Pretty Rythmn", tells the process and success story of a group of trainees. The group's debut single will be revealed through the animation and in real life at the same time. The animation will also put AVEX's new group Prism against DSP's girl group, as they compete to gather more fame. They're set to collaborate once they've debuted.
While the exact date of the debut hasn't been revealed yet, DSP is set to premiere the animation series in April in Japan, before airing it in Korea. The group's Japanese debut single will be released in July.
