Despite heavy blizzard, 2,000 fans watch TVXQ perform

Not even a heavy blizzard could stop the Japanese fans from watching TVXQ perform. The duo continued their national Japan tour “TVXQ Live Tour 2012: TONE” on February 18th at the Niigata Toki Messe.

Thetour began on January 18th, with multiple occasions where extra performances were added due to popular demand. TVXQ is scheduled to complete a total of 26 performances for the entire tour. They will have performed in front of roughly 550,000 fans all over the country by the end of the tour, marking the single greatest tour ever put on by TVXQ.

However, heavy snow had been plaguing the city of Niigata area since January, taking the lives of 50 citizens and even causing the airports to shutdown. As expected, heavy snow came down on the day of their performance. Despite the hazardous weather, 2,000 fans stood outside the venue awaiting the beginning of their concert. More fans flooded the venue as the merchandise began selling, and all the goods sold out after merely an hour, setting a new record.

Aside from their ongoing tour, TVXQ will also release their latest single, "Still," on March 14.
