KARA's Gyuri assures fans after successful surgery

KARA's Park Gyuri's vocal cord surgery has been completed safely. On the 22nd of February, Gyuri assured her fans and updated her Twitter account saying, "My people. The surgery went well. I shall recover quickly and try to give you a good voice to listen to. Thank you so much for your concern".


According to DSP Media, they discovered vocal cord nodules and polyps and was advised by the doctors to undergo immediate surgery. However, known for her strong image, Gyuri continued through her scheduled musical appearances for "200 Pounds Beauty" in South Korea and Japan, as well as other activities abroad. 

Keeping her promise to the audience, Gyuri kept her lead role in the musical and did not cancel any performances. 

Immediately after their first concert in South Korea last weekend, DSP Media announced that Gyuri will undergo surgery to treat the nodules and polyps in her vocal cords. 

On the 21st of February, Gyuri consented for the procedure while her fans poured their worry through social networking site, Twitter. They have then left comments saying, "I was really worried, so it is great that it is over" and "Miss Gyuri, I want to hear your beautiful voice again" to show their support.

After the surgery, Gyuri will undergo full rehabilitation and will join KARA as they continue their tour in Japan this April.
