After a successfully kicking off their concert tour "KARASIA" over the weekend, KARA's leader Park Gyuri is set to undergo surgery on her throat this week. On a press release sent today, DSP Media confirmed that Gyuri, who is suffering from vocal cord nodules, will be undergoing surgery to treat her vocal cords including the nodules and polyps.
Initially, Gyuri's doctors advised the singer to undergo surgery immediately after it was discovered last year. However, it had to be postponed to another date as Gyuri was busy with her activities which included her participation in the musical "200 Pounds Beauty" and their recent concert "KARASIA".
Gyuri will be under full rehabilitation after surgery and will join the rest of the group for their upcoming Asia tour in Japan by April.
