It was previously reported that girl group T-ara would "undergo major changes" in April, and that the extent of these changes would be revealed on April 7th. However, since this announcement, Core Contents Media's CEO, Kim Kwangsoo, has spoken about the group's future. According to Kim, it is possible that the group will go from seven to eight members, or even become nine members. Whether this is achieved by simply adding more members or replacing current members has not yet been decided.
The purpose of this process is not just to add or remove members from the group, but so that members who exert effort and demonstrate skills will have more opportunities for activities. The intent is to "introduce the principle of competition" so that "prideful and lazy" members do not receive opportunities.
Kim stated, "I've had 30 years of experience discovering and working with rookie singers. After three years as activities as a singer, pride and laziness arise. Stress becomes a bigger deal and it gets harder. You can't win the competition with this type of mindset. I have seen a lot of singers ruined through pride. If members don't have singing skills or don't put in effort, I won't give them parts."
Meanwhile, T-ara will celebrate their third anniversary as a group in July by inaugurating their official fan club and holding a concert.
