Edaily is reporting that MBLAQ's Joon has been cast in an upcoming sitcom on KBS2, "In Need of an Angel". Joon has previous acting experience in 2009's "Ninja Assassin" and the 2010 sitcom "Jungle Fish 2". In this new sitcom, Joon will play an aspiring actor with his name and a similar personality. He will share several scenes with costar Hwangwu Seulhye, who plays the angel Chaehwa. Joon's character is the only one that believes in her identity, and will also develop a crush on her.
"In Need of an Angel" has also cast Cha Inpyo and Shim Hyejin, and the first shooting took place on April 2nd. "Lee Joon may be a '4-dimensional', 'blue chip' idol, but as an actor he is a charming friend," a member of the production crew commented. "He is committed to energizing the sitcom."
With the recent end of "High Kick 3", the crew of "In Need of an Angel" is hoping for strong ratings.
