It has been revealed by Core Contents Media (CCM) that girl group T-ara will officially change to a nine member group for their next promotion cycle.
The company's CEO, Kim Kwangsoo, reported, "T-ara will change from 7 members to 9 members. T-ara's system will change and if it's needed, we'll make the drastic decision of replacing members by bringing in new members." He also mentioned that the group will be returning with a new album in July, officially introducing the new members on the stage.
T-ara's member change was decided upon because they felt that human beings will change and become lazy, leading to their fall. The change to nine members is said to be able to help them in staying successful.
The CEO continued by saying, "A lot of fans are worried and concerned for the changes happening to T-ara, but our management knows very well what can happen if the changes aren't made. T-ara will be in a situation where there will be very intense competition, and we don't want to think that they'll not be able to grow. T-ara went through a lot of hard practice to debut as idols. They need to continue to constantly work harder and take on new challenges."
T-ara's controversies and attitude problems were noted, and the group and staff were said to be working hard to make sure to avoid them at all costs in the future. CCM is even going to the point of saying that if any of the members are lazy or harmful to other members, they will not hesitate to make the decision to remove and replace them in the group.
It wasn't revealed yet which members will be replaced, and who the new members will be. More information is expected to be revealed closer to their comeback date.
