YG Entertainment recently held a lecture for MIT students on the secret behind the K-Pop fever.
The lecture was held on March 30th for over fifty visiting international students from MIT Sloan, there in a program called "Korea Japan Study Tour."
A source from YG stated, "We introduced the central philosophy in our company, 'familism,' to them. We have high-standard content because of the deep musical bond between our artists and the entire production system."
They continued with, "We have become a trend leader in the local music scene because of our novel attempts and daring investments in the fields of music, fashion, and videos."
The MIT students also took a tour of YG's recording studio, practice rooms, and other places in their building, during which they actively asked many questions about YG's system. In particular, there was huge interest in their artists' advancement into foreign countries.
Robby Huang, one of the students who attended YG Entertainment's talk, commented, "It's amazing how the producers at YG always come up with such great songs even though they're working on several albums at once."
Meanwhile, YG is planning to establish offices in Hong Kong and America.
