This year, the Mnet Asian Music Awards (otherwise known as MAMA) will be held in Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on November 29th. The theme for this year's award show is "music make one," in which Asian and international artist come together.
Already, MAMA has launched a shuffle dance contest for fans to partake in for a chance to win a plane ticket and a MAMA invitation.
With the MAMA coming close, the nominees list has finally been revealed to the public.
For the Best Dance Performance by a Female Group category, the nominees are Girls' Generation ("The Boys"), Secret ("Shy Boy"), T-ara ("Roly Poly"), 4minute ("Mirror Mirror"), 2NE1 ("I Am The Best"), and miss A ("Goodbye Baby").
The Best Dance Performance by a Male Group category nominees are TVXQ ("Why (Keep Your Head Down"), BEAST ("Fiction"), Big Bang ("Tonight"), Super Junior ("Mr. Simple"), MBLAQ ("Mona Lisa"), and Infinite ("Be Mine").
Nominations for Best Female Group includes Brown Eyed Girls, Girls' Generation, KARA, 2NE1, and f(x).
Best Female Artist nominations include Kim Wansun ("Super Love"), Baek Jiyoung ("Ordinariness/As Usual"), Seo Inyoung ("Into The Rhythm"), IU ("Good Day"), and G.NA ("Black & White").
Nominees for the Best Male Group are TVXQ, BEAST, Big Bang, Super Junior, and 2PM.
Solo male artists up for Best Male Artist includes Kim Bumsoo ("Last Love"), Kim Taewoo ("Echo"), Kim Hyunjoong ("Break Down"), Sung Shikyung ("Even Now"), and Wheesung ("Heartsore Story").
Solo artists nominees for the Best Dance Performance Solo include Kim Hyunjoong, Jay Park, Jang Woohyuk, 4minute's Hyuna, and G.NA.
Best New Male Artist nominees are Kim Jisoo ("Miss You So"), Boyfriend ("Boyfriend"), N-Train ("One Last Cry"), Huh Gak ("Hello"), and B1A4 ("Beautiful Target").
Artist who have nominated for the Best New Female Artist are Dal Shabet ("Super Duper Diva"), Brave Girls ("Easily"), A Pink ("I Don't Know"), Jang Jaein ("Toy Soldiers"), and Han Groo ("Witch Girl").
Best Band Performance nominees are Jaurim ("IDOL"), Jang Kiha and the faces ("Just Know Each Other"), CNBLUE ("Intuition"), FT Island ("Hello Hello"), and YB ("Find The Dream Breaker").
For the category Best Rap Performance includes Leessang ("Turn Off The TV"), Mighty Mouth ("Tok Tok"), Clover ("La Vida Loca"), Tablo ("Bad"), and Simon D ("Cheerz").
Nominees for the category Best Vocal Performance are Kim Gunmo ("It's Sadder Than Yesterday"), IU ("Good Day"), 8eight's Lee Hyun ("You Are The Best of My Life"), Huh Gak ("Hello"), and K.Will ("My Heart Beating").
The Best Vocal Performance by a Group includes Davichi ("Don't Say Goodbye"), SISTAR 19 ("Ma Boy"), 2AM ("You Wouldn't Answer My Calls"), 2NE1 ("Lonely"), and 4MEN ("Once While Living").
Artists nominated for the Best O.S.T. song are Baek Jiyoung ("That Woman" Secret Garden OST), IU ("Someday" Dream High OST), Yim Jaebum ("Love" City Hunter OST), Girls' Generation's Taeyeon ("Love You" Athena: Goddess of War OST), and Huh Gak ("Please Don't Forget Me" The Greatest Love OST).
Best Music Video nominees are Brown Eyed Girls ("Sixth Sense"), Big Bang ("Love Song"), Sunny Hill ("Midnight Circus"), Jang Kiha and the faces ("Just Know Each Other"), and UV ("Itaewon Freedom").
