T-ara's Jiyeon nabs starring role in "Dream High 2"

It was recently revealed that T-ara's Jiyeon will be given one of the lead roles in the drama "Dream High 2."

The drama is a sequel to the much-loved "Dream High," which starred 2PM's Tacyeon, T-ara's Eunjung, miss A's Suzy, and IU, amongst other idol singers.

According to T-ara's agency, Jiyeon met with the director of "Dream High 2" to discuss the role and storyline and eventually decided to step on board.

She is currently in the midst of promotional activities for "Cry Cry" along with the rest of T-ara, and is also preparing for next year's album, "Lovey-Dovey." Despite her schedule being packed to the brim with both Korean and Japanese activities, she expressed her desire to work on this drama after reading the synopsis, saying that she wanted to give it her best shot.

She said, "Before it gets too late, I want to look back on my own school days and take on the role of a student. I will work hard so please anticipate it."

Meanwhile, the first episode is set to broadcast on January 1st.
