FT Island's "Neverland" chosen as Japanese anime "Ozma" new theme song

FT Island has been chosen to sing the new theme song for the Japanese anime "Ozma." An official at FT Island's agency FNC Music, "They have been confirmed to sing the track 'Neverland' for the opening theme song of 'Ozma' for the TV station's WOWOW 20th anniversary. 'Ozma' will air on March 16th."

"Ozma" is the latest work of Matsumoto Reiji, who is known for producing the anime "Galaxy Express 999" and has worked in SF productions for "Space Battleship Yamato" and "Captain Harlock."

"Neverland" is a rock and upbeat track that was composed by FT Island member Choi Jonghoon.

The members of FT Island were quoted saying, "Matsumoto Reiji is well-known and we're excited to sing the anime's opening theme song. 'Neverland' is a fast-tempo song and it fits well with the anime's theme. We're looking forward to seeing the opening of the anime." 

Last year, FT Island's Japanese track "Satisfaction" was chosen as the ending theme for the anime "Toriko." 

"Ozma" is gaining a lot of attention in Japan after it was revealed that the anime was actually written in 1980, and it has taken over 20 years for it to be revealed.
