Man behind Girls' Generation's alleged nude photos charged

The person responsible for spreading the edited and naked photos of Girls' Generation online has been indicted. Previously, SM Entertainment announced its legal move to catch the person who edited and uploaded the malicious photo online which eventually circulated to an adult website.

The person behind such act was said to be a man in his 50s, a public servant who works at the Yeonsu District Office in Incheon. Although admitting that he uploaded the photo, the alleged suspect stated that he did not create nor edit the malicious photo. It was also found out that the man used his computer while at work last December to upload photo online. The malicious photo was a photoshopped photo using the faces of Girls' Generation pasted onto the bodies of naked women.

Meanwhile, police in the Gangnam District also sent out a statement saying that the man was already indicted last Tuesday for spreading the edited photo online. However, a representative from SM Entertainment also revealed, "We will take all steps necessary to right this wrong. The person should not just be held responsible for creating the phony picture but also for uploading it and spreading it online."

SM Entertainment found out about the alleged photo circulating online last week and immediately contacted the police to investigate. They also announced on the same day that they would take legal action to the person who created, uploaded, and helped spread the content
