One of Korea’s largest entertainment companies, SM Entertainment, has recently announced that they will be issuing new shares to its artists. SM Entertainment will be issuing approximately $881,000 worth of new shares. SM Entertainment artists will effectively own a piece of their own company, as they will soon become major shareholders.

This Friday night will certainly be a delightful and unforgettable one for Malaysian SONEs as Girls’ Generation finally set their feet in Malaysia for the Twin Towers @Live 2012. The concert will be held at Petronas Twin Towers KLCC, on the main road on March 23rd and 24th. The event is free and open to the public.

The 2012 MTV VMAJ nominations have been officially released on the official MTV VMAJ web page. Multiple Korean idol groups have received nominations for the VMAJs this year!

Months after the release of the Korean version of "Mr. Taxi," Girls' Generation has revealed the dance practice video showing the song's choreography.

The profits earned by SM artists like Girls' Generation, Super Junior, and TVXQ have been revealed. According to Financial Supervisory Service Data Analysis, Retrieval and Transfer System, SM Entertainment's March 6th prospectus listed their top five earning artists and further showed their sales relative to each other.

Recently, a staff member present at a commercial shoot for a certain company's card tweeted a photo of Girls' Generation. The staff member also commented on their beauty in his tweet.

On the 12th of March, SBS released yet another teaser for the highly anticipated drama, “Fashion King”. This short video gives us another small peek at Yuri’s acting and what the drama will be like. Similar to the previous teaser, Yuri only appears briefly, but viewers can already tell how good Yuri’s acting is. Girls’ Generation has just released their official music video for “Time Machine”. A beautiful and saddening video, it portrays nine separate stories and situations in which each member is reminiscing a love she is unable to forget. The members of Girls’ Generation are seen crying in several scenes, portraying their dramatic acting skills throughout the video. Fans are especially excited to see all nine members acting in a music video, which hasn’t been seen since “Into the New World”.

Girls' Generation has released a long teaser for their upcoming music video for "Time Machine". "Time Machine" was one of the new Japanese tracks released on the repackage of the group's first Japanese album, titled "The Boys". 

The members of Girls' Generation were appointed as honorary public relations ambassadors for the district of Gangnam, which is home to locations such as Teheranno and the World Trade Center Seoul. On behalf of the entire group, members Seohyun, Jessica, Tiffany, and Sooyoung attended the appointment ceremony.

Girls' Generation's endorsement contract with Kwangdong Pharmacy has officially ended after a year, according to the company's official Twitter. The girl group endorsed the pharmacy's Vita500 drink, appearing on its bottles and in several promotional photos and CFs. The pharmacy held a contest with Girls' Generation memorabilia as the prizes, and a song they recorded to promote a Vita500 smartphone application, "Vitamin", was also included on their third Korean album, "The Boys".

Following the success of their previous fansigning last December 4, Girls' Generation is set to hold another event in collaboration with J.Estina. Earlier today, it was announced that Girls' Generation will be holding a fansigning event on March 11, which will be held at the AK Mall in suwon. 

A recent video titled "A Surprised Yuri after trying to fix Taeyeon’s Stage Outfit" recently surfaced online. 

Girls’ Generation’s first Japanese album, “Girls’ Generation”, which was released on June 31st 2011, reached a shipping record of one million copies, a first in the history of Japan as a Korean artist . There will be a new music video to continue the rapid advancement of Girls’ Generation into Japan. The music video will be for their new song “Time Machine”, and comedian Imada Kouji will appear in the video.

The person responsible for spreading the edited and naked photos of Girls' Generation online has been indicted. Previously, SM Entertainment announced its legal move to catch the person who edited and uploaded the malicious photo online which eventually circulated to an adult website. 

The first ever ‘GaOn Chart Kpop Awards’ was held at 7pm KST on February 22nd at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall in Hannam-dong, Seoul and the event was hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon alongside composer-broadcaster Joo YoungHoon.
