Big Bang overtakes Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga on Twitter Tracker at the MTV EMA

Netizens have been buzzing ever since Big Bang was nominated for MTV’s European Music Awards in the category for “World Wide Act Asia Pacific Nominees.” Ever since then, K-Pop fans have been busy casting their votes in hopes of helping K-Pop gain popularity globally. 

Earlier, we reported that Big Bang had traveled to Belfast with all five members in order to attend the awards show, despite some negative press surrounding Daesung’s car accident and G-Dragon’s marijuana scandal. 

The MTV European Music Awards is now underway, with many acts such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Queen, LMFAO, Justin Bieber, and Selena Gomez in attendance, along with Big Bang. As part of the awards show, MTV European Music Awards introduced the Twitter Tracker, which tracks the amount of tweets by netizens that mention the big acts involved in the awards show. After an intense fight with Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber, Big Bang has finally taken over the number one spot in the Buzz category with more than 260,000 tweets and counting! Moreover, Big Bang is also at the top spot under the Paparazzi category, as their red carpet picture was re-tweeted the most out of everyone.
