Eugene to star in new TV Series in December

Eugene, a former S.E.S. member who became an actress, has been recently cast into a new TV series. It will be her first acting role since her marriage in July to Ki Tae-Young.

3HW.com released information on Friday that Eugene has cast into "Colour of Woman" set to be broadcast on Dong-A's new program station called Channel A and is set to start airing in December. Eugene will be portraying the role of Byun Sora who is born into an average family with average looks. She is a hardworking woman and succeeds at both work and love in the series. This show will be about two women competing against each other at a cosmetics firm.

A producer from Logos Film was quoted saying, "We cast Eugene for the role because her image matches perfectly with Byun Sora who is healthy and ambitious." "Colour of Woman" will be created by Kim Sooyoung (producer of MBC hit series "Goong"). The writers will consist of Jun Yongsung, Lee Shihyun, Choi Yunji, and Park Hyunjin, who are the writers of famous movies like "Miss Gold Digger," "Jealously," "The Host 2," and "Lovers of 6 Years."

30 year-old Eugene made her debut into the entertainment industry in 1997 as a member of S.E.S, a female group which was introduced into Korea as the first generation of K-Pop. They were one of the most popular girl groups in the country at the time. In 2002 after S.E.S disbanded, she continued to pursue her dream of an acting career. "Bread, Love, and Dreams" which was released in 2010 is her most recent drama.
