Sales for Girls’ Generation’s 3rd album “The Boys” nears the 300,000 mark

The Gaon charts on December 9th revealed that Girls’ Generation’s latest album “The Boys,” released in October, was the top selling album for the second month in a row, with 65,048 copies sold. This puts their collective sales total at 293,042 copies, as they look to break the 300,000 mark.

Taking 2nd place with 62,790 copies sold was JYJ’s “In Heaven” Special Edition. IU’s 2nd album “Last Fantasy,” released on November 29th, having swept the top 12 positions on all digital downloads chart, came in 3rd with 44,360 copies sold.

Wonder Girls’ 2nd album “Wonder World” came in at no. 4 with 35,051 copies, followed by Lee Seung Gi’s “Tonight” taking 5th place with 31,668 copies.

Currently, the top selling album of the year is Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” with a total of 339,707 copies sold.
