After making their hot television debut last night on the "Late Night Show with David Letterman," Girls' Generation made their 2nd U.S. television appearance on "LIVE! with Kelly" hosted by Kelly Ripa and Howie Mandel.
Kelly Ripa introduces the group and said, "We have hot superstars from South Korea who are taking the U.S. by storm. Their new CD is in stores now, here is Girls' Generation with 'The Boys.'"
Sones could be heard throughout the audience and chanting "GG!" clearly at the beginning of the song. Many fans were also spotted singing along perfectly with the group.
After performing an amazing live and receiving loud cheers from the audience, Girls' Generation were formally introduced by Kelly Ripa and Howie Mandel, who held a short interview with them.
The two hosts praised Girls' Generation and said, "That was amazing." Howie Mandel added, "You have so many fans," while Kelly Ripa exclaimed, "I've never seen so much audience participation in my life! Congratulations!"
"They were singing along and they knew all the words! [Bring the boys out!'" (Howie Mandel)
Kelly Ripa then introduced the group and said, "I'd like to announce that these girls are from South Korea. They are making their morning show debut right here in our studio audience, so welcome."
Howie Mandel also praised Tiffany's English, who replied with laughter that she was born in the U.S., to which Howie Mandel replied jokingly, "Your English is very good."
He then continued to say that he knew one Korean word, to which he struggled to remember and eventually said "Kamja" for potato. Howie Mandel then said, "Your [dancing] moves were tremendous. It reminded me of...me."
Girls' Generation then taught the main choreography to the hosts ("Girls' Generation make them feel the heat"). Tiffany then explained that there's no name to that particular move, but suggested that it could be called "The Ripa," after Kelly Ripa.
