After releasing a very successful Japanese album last year with "Super Girl," KARA is continuing their Japanese activities with the release of a 6th Japanese single. The new single was announced on their Japanese official site on February 28th.
KARA's 6th Japanese single, titled "SPEED UP/Girls Power," is a double A-side single (2 title songs), and is set to be released in March 21st. The CD only edition of the single will also include their Korean hit track, "Step."
The teasers to both tracks have also been released, revealing two concepts that are the complete opposite of one another.
"SPEED UP" is a strong up-tempo dance track that features heavy autotune, and is written by the same writer responsible for Big Bang's "Gara Gara Go!". In the teaser, KARA can be seen wearing clothes that line their figure with heavy dark makeup that follows a "sexy" concept.
On the other hand, "Girls Power" is a sweet mid-tempo track written by South Korean lyricist Han Sanwong, who was responsible for KARA's hit last year "Go Go Summer!". The teaser reveals a more innocent and cute looking KARA wearing white and colorful dresses in contrast to their dark and provocative clothing in "SPEED UP."
Bitter or sweet? Which of the two concepts do you prefer?
