Song Jihyo and JYJ's Junsu to star in "The Jackal Is Coming"?

Actress Song Jihyo has been cast for an upcoming film called "The Jackal Is Coming", directed by Bae Hyungjoon, who previously released "Don't Believe Her" and "Boys Don't Cry". This will be Song Jihyo's first movie role since acting in "Ssanghwajum" in 2008. 


In the movie, she will play a killer who kidnaps a popular singer upon request. Hijinks ensue as she tries to kill him while avoiding the police. However, the project has also received attention following a rumor that Jihyo's labelmate, JYJ's Junsu, will play the "popular singer" character. Although Junsu has never appeared in a film, he has been well-received for roles in musicals "Mozart" and "Elisabeth". 

C-Jes Entertainment, which manages both Junsu and Song Jihyo, stated, "“It is true that (Junsu’s casting) is on the table, but nothing has been decided yet.” Producers and investors for film are also concerned with Junsu's lack of film experience. 

"The Jackal Is Coming" hopes to finish casting soon and begin filming at the end of March.
