KARA conquers Japanese karaoke bars

KARA made an appearance on Japanese entertainment show "Hey Hey Hey", where the producers ranked them number one on a list of "Favourite Karaoke Songs After the 1990's".

KARA, who gained much popularity with their dance for "Mister," both locally and in Japan, beat out famous Japanese girl group AKB48 to emerge to the top. The rest of the top ten were made out of idol bands like Arashi and SMAP.

This is particularly significant as it indicates the musical preferences of the general public. Their ranking is in part credited to the fact that their songs have melodies and choreography that are easy to follow, earning them a high level of awareness in Japan.

Meanwhile, KARA will embark on a large-scale Asian tour this month.
